Here we present one of Aston Martin’s own greatest engines over time – the 5340cc V8 with not one but two Eaton Superchargers with an output of 550 BHP, directed to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic gearbox. The V550 began its life rolling out of Newport Pagnell with Aston Martin’s manual gearbox, which was standard on the model. However in 1996 this car was converted to automatic by Aston Martin themselves. This provided improved power delivery and all round better comfortability for this flagship model.
Finished in Suffolk Red and in beautiful condition, this car is complemented greatly by magnolia leather interior with dark red piping. Beautifully crafted wooden veneers rest on the door cards, dashboard and centre console showing the elegant and stylish ethos behind the design of the V550 Vantage.
This particular example is supplied with one of the most extensive history files we have seen. It consists of invoices for services, repair work and even lists for part numbers courtesy of Aston Martin Lagonda and Aston Martin Works. The original handbook, service portfolio, tool kit and warning triangle are all present.
The V550 was a very limited run production car of which only 239 were ever built making this a very rare and much appreciating classic.
